Your Community Strategy

Our Community Strategy is called Pride of Place and has been produced by the Pride Partnership.
The document sets out a vision of our borough and what we need to do to achieve it.

We will soon have a revised strategy

This year we are reviewing our priorities and vision and will be producing a new community strategy that will cover a fifteen year period from April 2011. The revised strategy will set out priorities and targets agreed by organisations responsible for the delivery of boroughwide services to improve the quality of life for everyone in the borough.

Our priorities or our aims are highlighted in Pride of Place and these have been selected carefully after conducting research and by consultating with local people, service providers and key stakeholders. This has resulted in a reduction in number from the last strategy and issues like housing and community cohesion now run through all the priorities acknowledging that they are strongly linked to improving the quality of life for people.
