Local Area Agreement
To ensure that we are making progress towards
a creating a better borough the Pride Partnership has made a three
year agreement with the Government which commits us to working
better and more efficiently to improve the quality of life for
local people. This contains 51 priority targets, for example, lower
crime rates, more people into work and less people claiming
benefits, more of our children and young people passing exams and
fulfilling their potential, healthier people smoking less and
taking more exercise.
Our Local Area Agreement supports the
priorities within our new Community Strategy Pride of Place
2007-2010 and aims to reduce the deprivation levels within the
borough. How well we have fulfilled our Local Area Agreement will
be measured by our success in meeting a number of key targets in
our community strategy.
