LSP Review Summit

LSP Summit 18 July 2007

Representatives from a variety of organisations and sectors came together on Wednesday 18th July 2007 to start the process of renewing the Borough’s Local Strategic Partnership. Heads of service and operational managers, councillors, chief executives, senior managers, thematic partnership coordinators and community interest groups worked with an external facilitator using an approach known as ‘Appreciative Inquiry’.

Delegates agreed to set up design teams and identified a number of areas which required detailed consideration. The design teams will work over the next couple of months to produce a set of recommendations which the existing LSP members will consider in October/November and that will help establish a Local Strategic Partnership that is fit for the next decade.

The Review Summit was deemed a great success and is seen as the start of our journey on the road to improvement.

If you would like to know more about the Pride Partnership’s review please contact Lea Fothergill, Pride Partnership Coordinator on Tel. 01706 752422 or email lea.fothergill@rochdale.gov.uk

Neighbourhood Renewal Consultation

The Pride Partnership are consulting on its current approach to Neighbourhood Renewal. The borough suffers from both hotspots of deprivation – 12th worst in the country, and widespread deprivation (25th worst out of 354 areas), and we need to make a step change in improving our most deprived areas.

A consultation report was distributed to the Pride Partnership Board, Executive, Thematic Partnerships and the Neighbourhood Renewal Sub Group for their input. Responses to the consultation and the comments received so far are attached as part of a consultation log. The deadline for the consultation was Friday 29th June 2007.
